Rosie carter - principal
Rosie Carter has been the Principal of RLDA since 2015. As the first ever NATD Street Dance Fellow, Rosie achieved the highest examination qualification available in Street Dance with the NATD, demonstrating exceptional expertise, experience and dedication to dance education.
Earlier in her teaching career, Rosie was awarded the NATD Bursary Award after achieving the highest mark in the country in her NATD Street Dance Associate examination, recognising her outstanding technical ability and teaching knowledge.
Teaching more than 10 classes each week, Rosie specialises in authentic Street Dance styles, inspiring dancers from the age of 3 through to adults. She is passionate about helping every student reach their full potential, whether dancing for fun, fitness, or professional qualifications.

Alongside teaching, Rosie has successfully trained more than 30 NATD qualified Street Dance teachers, including Student Teachers, Associates, Licentiates, and Fellows, helping to shape the next generation of dance professionals.
Rosie is also committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. She is fully DBS checked, First Aid qualified, a Licensed Chaperone, and RLDA's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Rosie is also an NATD Examiner for both Street Dance and Freestyle, assessing examination candidates and upholding the high standards of dance teaching across the UK. Alongside this role, she serves on both the NATD Street Dance Committee and the NATD Freestyle Committee, helping to shape syllabi, examinations, and the future development of dance education within the association.
With a reputation for excellence, professionalism and a passion for dance, Rosie continues to inspire dancers and teachers alike through high quality training, expert tuition, and a welcoming environment where every student can grow with confidence.
abbie partdridge
Abbie Partridge is an NATD Associate Street Dance Teacher trained by Rosie Carter with years of teaching experience and a passion for helping dancers of all ages grow in confidence and ability. She has taught children from the age of 3 and has developed a reputation for creating fun, inclusive and engaging dance classes.
Abbie holds an NATD Gymnastic Dance Diploma alongside her NATD Street Dance Associate qualification, bringing a strong technical foundation and versatile teaching approach to every class.
Today, Abbie specialises in teaching RLDA's adult and senior Street Dance and Commercial Dance classes, where she encourages dancers of all abilities to stay active, build confidence and enjoy learning in a friendly and supportive environment.
Committed to the wellbeing of every student, Abbie is DBS checked, a Licensed Chaperone, and a Safeguarding trained, ensuring all dancers can learn in a safe, welcoming and professional setting.
emma o'brien
Emma O’Brien is Rosie’s very first teacher she personally trained through the NATD system to achieve Fellowship status, helping to guide and mentor them from the early stages of their training through to becoming a fully qualified NATD Street Dance Fellow. They also hold an NATD Gymnastic Dance Diploma, further strengthening their technical training and versatility as a dance teacher.
She began her teaching career as an assistant in our 3+ Street Dance classes, helping our youngest dancers build confidence, coordination and a love for movement.
Over time, Emma progressed into leading classes herself and now focuses on teaching our senior Street Dance and Commercial Dance classes, where she brings energy, encouragement and experience to every session.
Alongside her teaching role, Emma also supports RLDA in an important operational capacity as our HR lead, helping to ensure the school runs smoothly behind the scenes and continues to provide a positive, well organised environment for both staff and students.
Mollie jackson
Mollie Jackson is an NATD Street Dance Licentiate with a strong technical foundation, holding both the NATD Contemporary Dance Diploma and the NATD Gymnastic Dance Diploma. She began her journey at RLDA as a student and has grown through the school into a confident and inspiring teacher.
Mollie now teaches our 8+ and 12+ Street Dance classes, where she specialises in Street Dance technique, performance and style, helping students develop both skill and confidence in a supportive environment.
She is fully DBS checked, a Licensed Chaperone, First Aid trained, and Safeguarding trained, ensuring a safe and professional learning environment for all students.
maddie blaney
Maddie Blaney is an NATD Street Dance Associate with a strong technical background, holding both the NATD Contemporary Dance Diploma and the NATD Gymnastic Dance Diploma. She was trained by Rosie Carter and was awarded the NATD Bursary Award after achieving the highest marks in her Street Dance Associate examination, recognising her outstanding performance and technical ability.
Maddie specialises in both Street Dance and Gymnastic Dance, bringing energy, precision and enthusiasm to every class she teaches. She leads our 5+ Street Dance classes, where she inspires younger dancers to build confidence, coordination and a love for dance, as well as our Tumbling classes, drawing on her specialist gymnastics background as a former British Gymnast.
Alongside her teaching, Maddie is a fully DBS checked, Licensed Chaperone, and is First Aid and Safeguarding trained, ensuring a safe, supportive and professional environment for all students.
diane carroll
Diane Carroll is an NATD Street Dance Associate trained by Rosie Carter and holds both the NATD Gymnastic Dance Diploma and the NATD Contemporary Dance Diploma.
She is also Acrobatic Arts qualified, bringing specialist acrobatic and contemporary expertise to her teaching. With a strong and varied dance background spanning ballet, tap, modern, jazz, and lyrical, Diane brings a well rounded and versatile approach to her classes. She is also a qualified yoga teacher, incorporating strength, flexibility and body awareness into her training style.
Diane leads RLDA’s Acrobatics classes as well as our Contemporary Dance classes, delivering high quality training that blends technical precision, creativity, strength, and performance quality. She brings a unique and valuable dimension to the RLDA team through her diverse experience and qualifications across multiple dance disciplines.
She is fully DBS checked, a Licensed Chaperone, and is First Aid and Safeguarding trained, ensuring a safe, professional and supportive environment for all students.
